Getting to Edgewood Park

Edgewood Park is located in the Westville neighborhood of New Haven, Connecticut. The park stretches along Edgewood Avenue and is bordered by Ella T. Grasso Boulevard to the east and West Rock Avenue to the west. With its scenic pathways, historic bridges, and diverse recreational areas, Edgewood Park is easily accessible by car, bike, or public transit.

Key Entrances:

  • Edgewood Avenue Entrance: Provides access to the playground, Ranger Station, bocce court and the park’s eastern trails.

  • West Rock Avenue Entrance: Perfect for those visiting the tennis, pickleball and basketball courts or the skate park. Also provides access to the park’s western trails and birdwatching areas.

  • Whalley Avenue Entrance: Provides access to Coogan Pavilion, the skate park, dog park and the park’s eastern trails.

  • Ella T. Grasso Boulevard Entrance: Provides access to both the duck pond and the playground as well as the splash pad/sundial
